tjdev Git Service – Community Guidelines

§ 1 General

  1. The intended use case of this platform is

    1. to give members of tjdev a hosting and collaboration platform and
    2. to allow external users to participate in public projects of tjdev members (eg. opening issues or pull requests) by creating an account.
  2. Depending on the severity, violations of these community guidelines lead to measures, such as:

    1. Written warnings
    2. Removal of content
    3. Suspension of accounts (both limited in time and permanently)
    4. Removal of accounts

    As far as possible, users are informed in detail about the execution of measures and their reasoning. Those affected usually have the opportunity to respond to this message and to take a position on the allegations.

  3. We – tjdev.de – reserve the right to change these community guidelines at any time and without any annunciation. It is the duty of the users to check for changes regularly.

  4. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend/remove accounts at any time and without giving reasons. The final decision which content and actions are allowed will always be made by the administration.

  5. The administration appreciates any hints about violations of these community guidelines. Hints and their sources will be treated confidentially.

§ 2 Behavior

  1. It is the task of every user to ensure that all other users can feel comfortable and develop freely on the platform. The following is prohibited in particular:

    1. Willfully using wrong pronouns (Misgendering)
    2. Threats
    3. Wrong accusations
  2. The atmosphere of conversations on the platform is to be kept objective. Opinions shall be stated as neutrally as possible. Hate speech and insults are not allowed.

  3. Any kind of discrimination is prohibited. Among other things, this includes:

    1. Age
    2. Origin
    3. Disabilities
    4. Mental and physical illnesses
    5. Skin color
    6. Body characteristics
    7. Sex and gender identity
    8. Sexual and romantic preferences
    9. Religion
  4. Contents require warnings to indicate sensitive topics or actions (trigger warnings). Among other things, this includes depictions and narrations of:

    1. Blood
    2. Violence and death
    3. Nudity and sex
    4. Depression, suicide and self-harm
    5. Drugs
    6. Flickering and strobe light (Epilepsy)
  5. The instructions of the administration must be followed. The circumvention of restrictions (eg. suspension of accounts) is prohibited.

  6. The malicious imitation of other people or groups is forbidden. This especially applies to:

    1. Name
    2. (Profile-)Picture
    3. Contact details
    4. Authorizing symbols (eg. verification check marks)
    5. Certificates (eg. graduation)
  7. The circulation of confidential data of others without their consent is prohibited. Among other things, this includes:

    1. Personal contact details (eg. private mailing address)
    2. Passwords and tokens
    3. Personal preferences (eg. sexual preferences)
  8. Knowingly spreading misleading or wrong information is forbidden.

  9. Any sort of glorification of violence is prohibited.

§ 3 Content

  1. It is prohibited to provide content or execute actions which infringe effective law. This particularly applies to German law. Among other things, this includes:

    1. Illegal symbols and texts
    2. Violations of copyright law, right to a name or intellectual property
    3. Fraud
    4. Phishing
    5. Malware
  2. It is not allowed to use this service as an advertisement platform without approval of the administration.

  3. It is prohibited to populate this service with extensive amounts of irrelevant content, especially with the intention to

    1. overload the server infrastructure (Denial of Service) or
    2. constrict other users by the amount of content (Spam).
  4. It is not permitted to use this service as bulk storage. This includes all use cases which, compared to their benefit, require an unacceptable amount of resources.
